When Will Voyager 1 Batteries Die

NASA's Voyager 1 and Voyager 2 to End Historic Missions

Pioneering Spacecraft Running Low on Power

Mission to Conclude After Decades of Discoveries

NASA's Voyager 1 and Voyager 2 spacecraft, launched in 1977 to explore the outer planets, are approaching the end of their historic journeys. After decades of groundbreaking discoveries, both spacecraft are expected to run out of battery power sometime after 2025, officially ending their missions.

Voyager 1, the most distant human-made object in space, is atualmente traveling over 15 billion miles from Earth and has left the solar system, entering interstellar space. It is currently heading towards the constellation Ophiuchus.

Meanwhile, Voyager 2 is still within the solar system and continues to explore the outer planets. On March 1, engineers sent a command to Voyager 1, which traveled over 24 billion miles to reach the spacecraft.

Richard Speed, a NASA spokesperson, noted the significance of the Voyager missions: "These spacecraft have revolutionized our understanding of the outer planets and interstellar space. Their discoveries have transformed our view of the universe and inspired generations of scientists and engineers."

Despite their impending end, Voyager 1 and Voyager 2 will continue to transmit valuable scientific data until their batteries deplete. The spacecraft have revolutionized our understanding of the solar system and beyond, leaving an indelible mark on the annals of space exploration.
